Wiregrass Hope is expanding in Dothan after a busy 2025

WTVY reported from Dothan on January 6, 2026 that Wiregrass Hope Pregnancy Center is expanding in 2026. Executive Director Susan Anderson called 2025 growth unprecedented.

The center provides free pregnancy and counseling services. It has leased a new building and planned to move in early spring. A separate counseling center is meant to free more space at the original pregnancy-center location. Anderson said fatherhood numbers have been “really up,” so the new space will add a fatherhood client meeting room. The center is also seeing more housing-insecure women.

That demand led to plans for a satellite site with Love in Action’s Good Samaritan Clinic, which will offer pregnancy testing and STI testing. Anderson asked for volunteers and funding, and gave 334-463-9436 for more information.

Wiregrass Hope’s services page states that it provides free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, STI testing, parenting classes, and community referrals (Medicaid, housing, medical care). It states that it does not provide or refer for abortion. It lists 334-793-0001 to call and 334-793-0002 to text. A 2022 WTVY profile identified the Dothan center as a pregnancy resource center that does not offer or refer for pregnancy terminations, and said most women they see choose to parent after learning about available resources.

If you are in the Wiregrass and you want a test or an ultrasound, that center offers those at their location. A nurse will talk in chat, or write back if you send the form. Free and private. You choose.
